Double Whammy for Mommy and Daddy

Mother's Day and hubster's birthday fell on the same day this year so we had a double whammy celebration!!! Muqriz and Marissa were full of wishes and excitement. The day before hubby and i had a lovely dinner out to celebrate. And Sunday started off with the exchange of cards. Muqriz made a few cards for his mommy but the best one was the love notes. That really brought me to tears and made me laugh too. Marissa made this wonderful photo frame magnet which is now proudly displayed on the fridge. Next came one of hubby's fav sarapan pagi..laid out on the daun pisang from our backyard...and darling hubby had bought me a very practical but extremely thoughtful Mom Day gift so that i can have perfectly brewed gourmet coffee every day (but that does not mean i am gonna forget you Starbucks!). After which the birthday boy had his birthday ice cream cupcakes. Then off we went to bowling where i still got trashed by the 3Ms!!! Such a lovely day for the big 2Ms!!!

Eight Years and Counting

Eight years have passed...and our love continues to grow stronger and deeper. We have been through a lot these past years..ups and downs...and lots of adventures and experiences...these have made our MM bond that much more cherished. Our Saturday and Sunday were spent chilling out and spending time together. But what remained the highlight of the entire anniversary weekend was when Muqriz surprised us with a set table lunch. He started whispering with his sis in the pool and made his sis stand guard and ensure that we did not come down till the surprise was ready. Lo behold...he had set up the table wth personalised name cards which he drew himself there and then...made the effort to find the serving bowls to put the tidbits (since they cannot cook just yet) to serve us in and also juice packs to quench our thirst. We were indeed very much touched by our 2Ms sweet sweet gesture. it was such a lovely anniversary celebration.

Eggs & a Bunny

Easter is here at CCY. Muqriz and Marissa were so excited to have their Easter egg hunt and they did collect lots of eggs (candy high as a result). And they got pics with the Easter Bunny and continued to debate on who was inside the costume. They also had an Easter party.

We were so excited to catch Toy Story 3 on ice and indeed it was fun to watch!!! The characters really came to life...we especially adored the aliens. Definitely for Toy Story fans!!!

Time to Say Goodbye

Time to say goodbye  . TQ sooooo much to kak Azwa Abg Wan and Adam for coming all the way to visit us. The past few days spent together were fun and full of memories. Hope that you had a lot of good times and see you again soon!!!

Superstars

Muqriz decided to become a rock/rap star and hence he enrolled his sis and Adam to join the band. They even put on a show for us....complete with lighting and assigned seating. A good show indeed (a bit biased of course...hehehhhe).

Pet and Pick

|
Today we had such a lot of fun....first agenda of the day was to go to Old MacDonald's Farm and feed the animals. Adam was a bit wary at first but then he warmed up to the animals and enjoyed feeding and petting them. The goats and the sheep were the best! Soooo ticklish!!! Then after that we went to pick strawberries...rows and rows of them!!! So much fun. We picked so many that kak azwa made smoothies the next day. When we got back home the kids were not tired out at all and jumped straight into the pool. A fun day!

Family Visits

Our cousin kak Azwa Abg Wan and their son Adam came all the way from back home to visit us after touring LA. And it was indeed lovely to have family from home visit for some quality bonding time. Muqriz and Marissa were excited to have lots of fun time over the next few days with their cousin and the first visited venue was the Downtown Childrens' Museum. We all had a lot of fun there discovering and playing and having plenty of fun.

The Moving Day
|
|
|
Today was a moving day literally and emotionally. We decided to leave our temporary home at Alden Bridge and move to another temporary home nearby. This house was where we have lived since we got here 3 and a half years ago and so many memories have been made here. And our landlord is such a nice man. We shall miss you 91 but we are also excited to settle down in our new home sweet home and have many more memories.
